This hand-carved walnut wall art is inspired by Georgian folk art and traditional symbols, but the design itself is original and created by Igrika. The composition of the deer, sun, and stars is our own interpretation of these traditional elements, rather than a copy of an existing historical artwork.

Each detail is carved by hand into natural walnut wood, then carefully sanded and finished with natural oil. The result is a unique piece of handmade Georgian wood art with natural wood grain, detailed carving, and a design that combines traditional inspiration with a contemporary look

Making this hand-carved walnut wall art takes around 10–12 days, depending on the wood and carving details. First, we carefully select a beautiful piece of walnut that has been properly dried for several years, which is important because walnut needs enough time to dry naturally before it can be carved safely.

The wood is then shaped and sanded before we create and paint the original design sketch for the piece. The detailed composition is carved by hand over several days, followed by final sanding and natural oil finishing. This careful process gives the finished artwork its smooth surface, natural grain, and detailed handmade character.

This wall artwork is made from natural walnut wood, not veneer or engineered wood. Each piece is carefully selected for its natural grain and character, then hand-carved detail by detail with traditional carving tools. After carving, the surface is finely sanded and treated with natural oil to nourish the walnut and bring out its rich color and distinctive grain.
