“Flowers of Katskhi” – autumn spirit delightful fall table runner

The Tale:

We’ve created this composition by emulating the remaining decors on the walls of the Katskhi Church, built in the region of Imereti, in the XI century, and called them “Flowers of Katskhi”. As it turns out, in older times, the flower symbolized the eternal cycle-birth, life, death, and resurrection. It also represented spiritual bloom, beauty, goodness, as well as perfection…

How We Make It:

• The fall table runners crafting technique relates to traditional hand block printing, using wooden or linoleum blocks.

Characteristics, Cleaning and Care:

• Materials: 65% cotton 35% polyester
• Size: 175 x 40 cm (69 x 15.7 in)
• The fall leaf table runner material, being made mostly by cotton, does not absorb the liquids easily, therefore permanent stains can be avoided very simply, if shaken soon after the liquid is poured on it.
• Use a washing machine with a gentle, short cycle at 30°C/86°F. Avoid bleach or bleach-based detergents. Dry on low heat, and iron if needed from second side.
