The Tale:

  • Each of our artwork has its particular backstory, and “the Moonguard” is not an exception.
  • Special reverence of the war deities by ancient Georgians was well known since earliest times. These include the Cross of Lashari, Kopala, and Iakhsari.
  • However, special mention goes to “Tetri Giorgi”. Born from the mysteries of Georgian people, we revived its form and temper and named him “The Moonguard”. “White George” or Armazi, was a syncretic deity. As it turns out, asides from being the lord of storm, sky, rain, and plants, he also had the functions of a war god.
  • The symbol dates back to II millennium BC.

 How We Make It:

  • The sky blue tote bag crafting technique relates to traditional hand block printing, using wooden or linoleum blocks.

 Characteristics, Cleaning and Care:

  • Materials: 65% cotton 35% polyester
  • Totes Sizes: body: 45/45cm 18/18 inches handles: 61 cm 24 inches
  • The blue tote material, being made mostly by cotton, does not absorb the liquids easily, therefore permanent stains can be avoided very simply, if shaken soon after the liquid is poured on it.
  • Wash in the washing machine at 30°C /86°F on a soft and short washing program. Do not use bleach or detergents containing bleach. Tumble dry low. Hot ironing if necessary from opposite side.

Care information

The material, being made mostly by cotton, does not absorb the liquids easily, therefore permanent stains can be avoided very simply, if shaken soon after the liquid is poured on it.
Wash in the washing machine at 30-40°C / 86-104°F on a soft and short washing program. Do not use bleach or detergents containing bleach. Tumble dry low. Hot ironing if necessary.
