The Tale:

  • Martvili Monastery was founded between VI and VII centuries. As it turns out, in ancient times, pagans here worshiped their idol, Chkondidi (The Great Oak). Unique secular and theological literature was written and spread from the Monastery. Frescoes from XIV, XVI, and XVII centuries can still be seen in the church of the Dormition of the Mother of God.
  • Our Esquisse was inspired by the colorful decorations of the walls of the Martvili Church.

Our fervent desire is to unveil its magic to the world, kindling love and excitement, transforming ancient tales into present narratives.

How We Make It:

  • The tablecloths crafting technique relates to traditional hand block printing, using wooden or linoleum blocks.

Characteristics, Cleaning and Care:

  • Materials: 65% cotton 35% polyester
  • Size: 175 x 40 cm (69 x 15.7 in)
  • Block printed tablecloth material, being made mostly by cotton, does not absorb the liquids easily, therefore permanent stains can be avoided very simply, if shaken soon after the liquid is poured on it.
  •  Wash in the washing machine at 30°C /86°F on a soft and short washing program. Do not use bleach or detergents containing bleach. Tumble dry low. Hot ironing if necessary.

Wash in the washing machine at 30-40°C / 86-104°F on a soft and short washing program. Do not use bleach or detergents containing bleach. Tumble dry low. Hot ironing if necessary.

Please note! Linen made of natural fibers usually shrinks between 4-10% when washed for the first time.
